The castle in northern Italy in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region situated on 110 hectares of its own land. There are 10 hectares of vineyards on karst soil with a large proportion of iron, under the vineyards there is an underground lake that provides cooling of the vineyards during the night in summer. The alternation of hot days and cool nights, supported by regularly changing air currents from the mountains and the sea, gives the wine unique conditions for creating an original taste. The vineyard's production is, for a high-quality wine selling at 50 euros a bottle, 50 000 bottles a year. On the land there are great looking wine cellars with vaulted ceilings and stone columns, fermentation vessels, floor area of the cellar is one thousand square meters. There are also several old houses on the land on which villas can be built. The owner has a project for the construction of an 18 hole golf course, the building permit can be renewed.

The castle in its current form dates back to the 16th century, on its site stood a fortification already during the Roman Empire. Ten years ago it underwent a thorough reconstruction during which all the vaulted ceilings were restored, the upper floors have new hard wood beamed ceilings, there is a new roof. There are new wooden windows with double glazing throughout. The castle has 4 floors and a historic cellar. The forest on the property consists largely oak and pine trees.
